Hand-knit in Yorkshire

Olba is a small Yorkshire knitwear label making jumpers and cardigans entirely by hand.

The founder

Forty years of craft.

Olba was founded by Diane, who has been knitting for more than forty years.

For most of that time she knitted for her family, refining her craft row by row over decades. Olba is how she now shares that work more widely.

Every piece is still made the way it always has been: by hand, one at a time, with the patience and precision that only come from years of practice.

Made with love & care

  1. 01

    Knit entirely by hand

No knitting machines and no outsourcing. Every stitch of every piece is worked by hand.

  2. 02

    Made in Yorkshire

Each jumper and cardigan is made in Yorkshire, from cast-on to the final finishing.

  3. 03

    Decades of practice

The skill in every piece was learned over a lifetime of knitting, first for family and now for Olba.

There is no factory behind Olba, and no machines: just needles, yarn and a pair of practised hands.
